| Grace to you and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ,
We at Longmeadow Congregational Church, along with our fellow churches in the United Church of Christ, extend to you an extravagant welcome and invite you to join with our community as we seek to follow God’s call for our lives.
It is a blessing for me to serve as Pastor of this community of faith. Wherever you are on your faith journey, I hope that you will feel supported here as together we seek both individual spiritual growth as well as to bring about unity and to build community, following Jesus desire “that they may all be one.”
This is a place where you are free to ask questions and to explore your relationship with God. We believe in the Bible as the primary source of authority but just as firmly believe that God is not done speaking yet. Revelation is continuing, God is still calling us and wants to be found in our daily lives. Our faith is to be lived out in this world; Jesus was present to the intrigue, misunderstanding and suffering of this world. But he was also present to the joy, fellowship and honesty in the world. As Christians we are also called to be present to all that the world has to offer and throw at us, and to be present to all that God has to offer and throw at us. Christianity is not a spectator sport, it is to be lived each day and I encourage each person to live out their calling, both in the bright light and the muddy waters of every day life.
We hope that you will join us for worship and fellowship,
Your sister in Christ,
Rev. Ruth E. Gallot, Pastor
